~Dolphin Wheel~

I have been a fan of Wyland for almost 20 years.

I love the way he brings the ocean to the land dwellers (esp. to those of us who are afraid to scuba dive....ahem.)

Aren't these dolphins sweet?

I didn't place a sentiment because I thought it would throw off the symmetry I was trying to achieve.

This time, I colored with a Sharpie that was the perfect shade of blue/gray.

I shaded over the top section of each dolphin once more for a darker shading.

This is my second entry for Lawn Fawn CHA Winter 2012 Challenge.

~Rainbow Wave~

Lawn Fawn has an exciting CHA Winter 2012 challenge.

I used Critters in the Sea to create a rainbow wave.

The waves were created with the "wave" and a standard, single office hole punch.

I pray your new year rings with joy and blessings. ;)

~Just One Word ~

gives me a chance to thank my girlies who really touched me with their gifts this year.

A couple of weeks ago, I participated in Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger, which was a Partridge in a Pear Tree....and last week's LIM was Music.

When I opened my stocking stuffers this daughter said, "I remember you doing that challenge with a partridge in a pear tree so I picked this stamp".

Also, there was a music punch. ;)

Another punch was there, plus a stamp that had the word LOVE which I used here.

Being loved is one thing.

FEELING loved is another.

To my girlies...

who pay attention to what is important to me.

~Masculine Lighthouse Card~

I'm glad I had time to create today!

I used my Spellbinders classic circles to cut a circle in the middle of this image that was stamped and embossed.

I then created a frame with two circles and dabbed it in Versamark ink and embossed.

I'm always blessed when I finish a card.

There are so many "parts" laying around from "almost cards", ya know?

I sometimes work on a few at a time, so that when one hits a DEADEND...I can hop to the next.

This one followed a beautiful sketch from

I am also entering this in

This image is one of my's perfect for a masculine card.

Thank you for stopping by today! ;)

~Trust In Him~

I never want to be alone again.

I know I'll be alone.

But I don't want to be ALONE ALONE, you know?

No matter what this coming year holds...I am not alone,

for He is my refuge-I can TRUST Him. ;)

~Message from Afar~

There's a cool technique over at Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #149.

It's called a telescoping image card.

I really enjoyed this technique, even though I had to stamp more than once.

I'm used to that now. ;)

I didn't know that, you know.

It took me years to feel "successful" at stamping, because I didn't know you needed:

1) Quality inks
2) Quality stamps
3) Practice
Whenever I stamped, I was bummed because it looked TERRIBLE.

However, I kept buying stamps here and there...hoping it would "click" one day.

I'm so glad that there are awesome blogs out there that give advice and info for all levels.

Aren't you?

What a blessing! ;)

Thank you for stopping in today.  Hope you have a little time to craft. ;)

~Stripes and Bubbles~

There are stripes and there are STRIPES!

I played and played and came up with this.

The top of my card was cut with half of a Creative Memories oval cutter.

The stripes go beyond their borders here.

I did the same with my "bubbles".

I randomly cut circles with my Spellbinders classic circles and used brown and blues (in the same family as the Trigger colors..CLOSE relatives anyway). ;)

I drew in some "X" new thingy...don't know why.

Hey, and today is Cath's birthday!

Make sure and stop in and wish her a good one. ;)

~Embellish Mixed Patterns and Mount Everest~

Here's the stamp Ren-Yi sent me.

I am pleased with myself for using it so quickly. ;)

I have to admit, I was a bit intimidated by the idea of coloring the details in this scene, but I found a way around it.

One hurdle down and another to go...

my fear of mixing patterned paper.

challenged me to do it anyway!

I'm not real comfortable with patterned paper...but I didn't want that to stop me from participating.

It's my own version of climbing Mount Everest!!!

I feel like a million bucks. ;)

What mountain have you climbed today???

I wanted to make a "note" for Ren-Yi.

Girlfriend is so busy, but still took the time to mail a stamp I won at her blog. ;)

I used my oldie but goodie Sizzix embossing folder to make this simple card.

It might be best to keep my words few.... ;)

I wanted to play with my new Unity I locked on TREES and neutral colors.

~Splash of Teal~

is a SPLASH!

My stipple brush was used to apply black ink around an oval cutter shape.

I stamped the image and cut it out with another sized oval.

Dabbed with my Copics and a little swipey with my ink pad to highlight that oval, and it was done!

I love it because it's green

I love when I can repurpose a stamp or die!

Do you recognize the snowman and accessories in this ornament?

The technique from Make It Monday #45
was used with the snowflake stamp.

The colors are from ColourQ Challenge #115

I was sooooo blessed to received this DP paper pack in the mail from Amy.

She sent that and lots more!

~Spit Out the Bitter Seeds~

Some seeds give life, and some are bitter to chew and eat away at you.

Spit out the yuck ones.

I have to actively spit out the mental yuck seeds everyday, from my mind.

 Psalm 51:6 and Psalm 51:10

 Oooh, I played today.
My name got drawn at FYI

for this cute digi from Paper Pretties.

How come I think decorative ants are cute...

But real ones get the boot?

inspired me with their beautiful sketch by Michelle.

This whimsical pic from Inspired By #2
had me thinking of vibrant colors like red, green and purple.

Spit the yuck out and let God refill you today. ;)

~Another Make It Monday~

I made a card for my other nephew also, using
the cool technique Lisa shared on Make It Monday #45,
coloring embossed images with Copics.

I really love the silhouette die cut from a cider box.

This time I colored over a clear embossed image.

I used my boxed pleats to create dimension and "pocket" of sorts for the chocolate bar.

I stamped BEFORE folding on the scores.

Simon Says Stamp and Show:Projects With Depth

is another challenge I'm submitting to also.

~Classy Ladies~

Putting On the Ritz at Pals Paper Arts 123.

Just the event to showcase this one of a kind pink velvet ribbon!!!

I was thinking of my three daughters when I made this card.

It's for my oldest to display in her black and pink room.

She is ALL GLAMOUR, that girl, and I could gush all day about her.

Not only is she beautiful, but she is poised and has a heart of gold.

Before I get all weepy, I'll just leave it at that.

I can't afford a good cry stirs up my allergies and THERE'S NO TIME for that with all the events lined up this week.

Thanks for stopping in to see. ;)

~You Rock and Make It Monday~

I made a card for my nephew.

I used the cool technique Lisa shared on Make It Monday #45,
coloring embossed images with Copics.

I used red on white embossing, and made sure to stay within the white to give it one more border.

gave me the colors to work with. ;)

Take a breath this week and take it one day at a time.

That's what I'm trying to do!

I have my bag of cards in the car and anytime I have to WAIT...I start addressing cards.  It will get there one day. ;)

Take care now.

~Hope is a Gift~

Hope is a gift.

Receive it, hang on to it, and thank God for it.

I lay a snowflake die on the die cut cardboard snowlady and misted with Glimmer Mist Pink Bubblegum to create her design.

Her earmuffs are twine wrapped on two pop dots-easier than I expected!
